Chicago Baseball Series Comes Back

June 21, 2009 by ben

Just next weekend, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox will be back in action, playing against each other in the second and final intra-city competition this year. It's going to be exciting, as the first two games already showed. The first game was cancelled due to rain, but the two teams split the other two games. John Danks held the Cubs down to just a run over the first part of the game for a 4-1 win. Then in the second game, the Cubs were down 5-1 during the 8th inning. Suddenly, their big bats started to ring with a three run homerun from Derek Lee and then a solo homer from Soto. This tied it up and then they got a good run in the bottom of the 9th for a 6-5 win. Whenever these two teams get together, it's a real barn-burner! You can be sure that it will be a great game. Starting on Friday, the Cubs will be travelling down the Red Line to US Cellular Field, where they will be able to play against the defending Central Division champions, the Chicago White Sox. Cubs baseball tickets are available now and you'll be able to see one of the best games in the entire Cubs calendar!
