The Home of the Braves

March 25, 2009 by ben

Ever since the Atlanta Braves’ indestructible pitching rotation was split up several years ago, the team has been unable to get deep into the playoffs. John Smoltz and Greg Maddux went to other teams. But this offseason, the Braves have put their pitching back on the front burner, signing Derrek Lowe, Kenshin Kawakami, and Javier Vazquez. In addition, veteran starter Tom Glavine agreed to a new deal with the team. This will make for a starting rotation that will be hard to beat in 2009. Last year, the bullpen had trouble remaining healthy for the whole season, but if they can avoid injuries, they will be able to close out games very effectively. Atlanta Braves tickets for 2009 are available today for you to see this great new Braves team. Some dominant players on the offense will hopefully get this team some runs and put the team into contention. First baseman Casey Kotchman ended with a .321 average during the last 21 games of the ‘08 season. If he can keep that up in 2009, he may turn out to be one of the best hitters on the team. Don’t miss this team!
