    NYE 2017

Sure, it’s not even Halloween yet, but you can never start the New Year’s Eve 2017 planning too early. As usual, there will be many concerts to choose from around the country for those wishing to ring in the New Year with some live music.

NYE staples like Bassnectar, Maroon 5, and Phish will once again be taking the stage for concerts to send out 2016, with many more announcements still to come as the holiday approaches.

Will Billy Joel Take Over Miami for NYE 2017?

One particular act we’re anxiously awaiting an NYE 2017 concert announcement from is Billy Joel, who has chosen to spend his last three New Year’s Eves on the performance stage.

Joel helped Brooklyn ring in 2014 live from the Barclays Center, and followed it up with consecutive NYE shows in Florida (Orlando and Sunrise), so a stop in Miami to close out 2016 wouldn’t be entirely out of the question.

Not to mention the rather obvious: He has a song called Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out on Broadway)!

Update (10/10): It's not exactly Miami, but Billy Joel has been confirmed for a return NYE show at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, which is only about 40 minutes from South Beach, so we'll take it!

For now, check out some of the scheduled New Year’s Eve concerts 2017 and stay tuned for more added shows as they are announced.

Bassnectar | Legacy Arena at the BJCC, Birmingham, Ala.

One of the premier New Year’s Eve acts, Bassnectar will return to the BJCC for a second straight year along with special guests Gramatik, Joker, and The Librarian, so if you missed out last winter, make sure to take advantage of this unique NYE celebration. Get a feel for what to expect at midnight via the video below.

Billy Joel | BB&T Center, Sunrise, Fla.

Florida Billy Joel fans will get a second chance to catch the "Piano Man" at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, where he also began the year. Be there to usher in 2017 with one of the best live acts around, and be sure to keep an eye out for any special guests. Last year's celebrity attendees included Kevin James, Howard Stern and Jimmy Kimmel, with the latter two featured in the NYE countdown video below.

Bruno Mars | Park Theater at Monte Carlo Las Vegas

Sin City will have the honor of hosting Bruno Mars for another NYE celebration, though this time the pop star will be making his debut at the brand new Park Theater at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas. Fans can catch the singer on Dec. 30 and 31, and are likely to hear some new tracks along with past favorites, as Bruno Mars dropped his newest single, "24K Magic" on Oct. 7, while the full album is due out on Nov. 18.

Don Henley | WinStar World Casino, Thackerville, Okla.

Settle in for an evening with one of music’s finest acts when Don Henley takes the stage at WinStar World Casino for NYE 2017. By the looks of the typical setlist, audiences are treated to both hits from Henley’s solo career as well as Eagles staples like “Hotel California” and “Desperado,” but be ready for anything during this special concert event.

Elton John | Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

Like his counterpart, Billy Joel, Elton John also has solidified NYE 2017 plans, and his include a four-night stint at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which also houses the singer's ongoing residency. From Dec. 28-29 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1, experience the award-winning hits of one music's most iconic performers live in Sin City.

Kid Rock | Scottrade Center, St. Louis, Mo.

Back in action for another crowd-pleasing New Year’s Eve, let the ever-entertaining Kid Rock lead you into the new year when he stops by the spacious Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Maroon 5 | Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas

NYE 2017 will make it three consecutive years for Maroon 5 at Mandalay Bay Events Center. While you’re sure to hear hits like “Sugar” and “Animals,” we wouldn’t be shocked if Adam Levine and Co. offered up a few surprises as well.

Old Crow Medicine Show | Ryman Auditorium, Nashville

Experience this familiar pairing when Old Crow Medicine Show returns to Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium for another NYE installment perfect for any country music fan.

Phish | Madison Square Garden, New York

Phish fans in New York will be treated to another four-night run this December as the group will once again set up shop at Madison Square Garden and top it all off with their renowned New Year’s Eve show. As an added bonus, Phish will have some new music in tow as its latest album, “Big Boat,” will drop on Oct. 7.

Widespread Panic | Bridgestone Arena, Nashville

For NYE 2017, Widespread Panic will make the move from Atlanta where they began the year and will instead delight fans in Nashville. The Dec. 31 show will cap off a three-night stint in the city, which will begin with a concert at the Ryman Auditorium on Dec. 29, and conclude with consecutive performances at Bridgestone Arena.
