In summer 2017, Chicago’s Soldier Field will once again bring world-class artists to the Windy City for huge concerts at the lakefront stadium.

On June 3, U2 will make its triumphant return for a Soldier Field concert with support from The Lumineers. A few weeks later, the lakeside venue will host a performance by Metallica on June 18.

Later in the summer, Coldplay will be back for a second straight year on Aug. 17. Stay tuned for more Soldier Field concert announcements in the coming months.

Before you make plans to see an upcoming Soldier Field concert, let us help you decide which seats will give you the best views of all the action.

For most Soldier Field concerts, the stage will be set up near the northern end zone. Seating options are generally available in the Field, Lower Level, Media Deck, Club Level, Colonnade, and Grandstand areas.

Whether your chosen concert has reserved or general admission Field Level seating options, these seats offer some of the best views of the show. If you choose a Field Level section closer to the stage, you’ll have a better chance of interacting with your favorite performers:

The Field Level is rather large, so some seating options will be farther back from the stage. You can still have a fantastic view of the performance from these seats, especially considering most Soldier Field concerts feature giant LED screens of the action on stage.

This video from Section 143 gives an idea of the type of view you’ll get if you choose a Lower Level seating option on the sideline. Most of these Lower Level seats will be far enough away that you can see the full stage, but near enough that you’ll still feel close to the performers.

Soldier Field – Upper Level Sideline Views

The sidelines of Soldier Field’s Upper Levels also give fans a solid view of all the action on stage, but you’ll have a slightly higher vantage point than those in the 100 Level.

Soldier Field – End Zone Views

Since this stadium is the smallest in the NFL, even the end zone gives a great view of performers during Soldier Field concerts. On a clear night you might even be able to get a glimpse of Chicago’s skyline behind your favorite artist:

    Soldier Field – Grandstand Views

The Grandstand may be the highest level available on the Soldier Field seating chart, but these sections allow you to get a bird’s-eye view of the entire stadium. The giant screens flanking the stage also give you a better view of the performance.
