Bob Weir Tour
Grateful Dead frontman Bob Weir has spent the last few years on the road performing with Dead and Company, but in the fall of 2016, the singer will venture out on his own in preparation to release a brand new solo album. The forthcoming record, titled “Blue Mountain,” will be released on Sept. 30, introducing fans to Weir’s first collection of original work in three decades.
To accompany the forthcoming release, Weir will be hitting the road once again for a brief solo tour in the month of October. Jump to the bottom of the page to view all upcoming Bob Weir tour dates for 2016.
New Bob Weir Album Inspired By Campfire Traditions
With the announcement of “Blue Mountain,” Weir described the collection of new songs as “deeply personal” and “inspired by the ranch stories and fireside songs of [his] youth.” It’s fitting, then, that he’s titled his live trek the Campfire Tour, and that he aims to keep the upcoming concerts as intimate as possible. Most of the venues tabbed for the tour, which runs from Oct. 7-19, will also be decidedly smaller than those included on the Dead and Company tour, which mostly played in arenas and stadiums around North America.
At the time of his tour and album announcement, Weir has not released any singles from “Blue Mountain.” He has released the full track list, which features 12 songs, including the likes of “Cottonwood Lullaby,” “What the Ghost Towns Know,” and “One More River to Cross,” among others.
