Coachella Lineup

When the calendar turns to a new year, it means one thing to music festival fans: The countdown to Coachella is on.
Once again, the extraordinarily popular concert in the desert has secured a lineup teeming with some of music’s biggest names. Headlining Coachella 2018 are Beyonce, Eminem and The Weeknd.
Beyonce to Make Coachella Debut
Beyonce is set to make her long-awaited Coachella debut. She was scheduled to appear in Coachella in 2017, but her doctors advised her to pass up the festival, held annually at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif. Lady Gaga replaced her and headlined last year’s Coachella, along with Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.
Although she didn’t release a new album, the Queen B remained popular in 2017. “Perfect,” a song Beyonce created in tandem with Ed Sheeran, was one of the top singles of the year.
Eminem also had a big impact on the music scene in 2017, releasing “Revival,” his ninth album. It will be his maiden performance at Coachella.
The Weeknd, a Coachella veteran, returns in 2018 as a headliner. His first U.S. tour kicked off at Coachella in 2012. He was a crowd favorite in 2015.
Deep Field of Performers, Especially in EDM
The Coachella 2018 lineup is incredibly deep beyond just the headliners. Some other notable performers include David Byrne, HAIM, Sza, Tyler the Creator, Cardi B, Migos and Post Malone.
There’s a strong lineup of EDM performers in particular this year, including Kygo, Soulwax, Odesza, Illenium and several others.
Once again, the festival will span two weekends: April 13-15 and April 20-22.
