Get ready for another larger-than-life Coldplay tour.
The band, which has won seven Grammys and headlined the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, just announced a Music of the Spheres World Tour.
The 2022 Coldplay tour is slated to kick off on March 18 with the band's first-ever show in Costa Rica, at the Estadio Nacional, before moving on to the Dominican Republic and Mexico. The tour will then touch down in Levi's stadium in Santa Clara on April 23 for a U.S. run slated to last through a June 14 show at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
H.E.R. and London Grammer will be opening for the band on varying dates.
Coldplay's upcoming tour will partly be powered by a dance floor that generates electricity when fans jump up and down, and pedal power at the venues. The environmentally responsible tour will cut direct emissions 50% compared to its most recent tour in 2016-17 by powering the shows entirely using renewable, super-low emission energy and solar installations at every venue.
