AMAS 2014
The American Music Awards will return to Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Nov. 23, and while many of the year’s most successful musicians have already snagged nominations, even more have now been added to the list of AMA performers for 2014. The roster continues to grow as the event nears, but Imagine Dragons, Mary J. Blige, Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, and many more big names have already been tabbed for the live show, which will be hosted by Pitbull. You can be one of the lucky few to witness the action firsthand when you buy American Music Awards tickets from our marketplace.

Fresh off the Platinum debut of her latest album, 1989, Taylor Swift will be one of the top AMA performers for 2014. Since 1989 dropped on Oct. 27, Swift has commanded the top slot in the Billboard 200 after selling more than 1.2 million copies in its first seven days on the market--the biggest sales week for any album in more than a decade. She also maintains a hold on the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with her multi-Platinum hit “Shake It Off.”
Country music icon Garth Brooks will also be featured at the ceremony, although he won’t be performing in person. On the evening of the AMAs, part of Brooks’ last of five concerts in Greensboro, N.C., will be streamed live to the L.A. venue. The veteran country star has been making the rounds of the U.S. as part of his first concert tour in more than a decade, but he has yet to make his way over to the West Coast for an in-person performance. He recently made headlines when he took time out of a Minneapolis concert to serenade a fan with cancer.
Fans in attendance can also expect to see a couple of boy bands during the AMAs 2014, as One Direction and its protégé Australian group 5 Seconds of Summer have both secured slots on the night’s schedule. One Direction’s new album, Four, is due out later this month, while 5SOS earned its first No. 1 earlier this summer with its self-titled EP.
A crop of young female vocalists has also been hand-picked to be AMA performers for 2014. Lorde, who recently released the track “Yellow Flicker Beat” as a contribution to the new The Hunger Games soundtrack, will perform during the evening. From across the pond, Charli XCX will also take the stage ahead of the December release of her new album Sucker. Fergie is also set to return to the AMAs this year as she prepares to release her first studio album in more than eight years. During the ceremony Selena Gomez is also set to make the live debut of her new single, “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”
