Fleetwood Mac Tour to Extend into 2015

October 09, 2014 by Alyssa

Tour Announcement

For the first time in more than 15 years, Christine McVie joined Fleetwood Mac on the road in September, reuniting the band’s most well-known lineup for its ongoing 2014 tour. Just over a week into the landmark trek, the influential rock outfit has already announced plans to extend the happy reunion with a second North American leg set to begin in Jan. 2015. The new dates for the On With the Show Fleetwood Mac Tour were announced on The Today Show on Oct. 9, followed by a full-band performance of one of McVie’s signature songs, “Little Lies.”

In total, the newly announced trek will include at least 28 concerts, just a few of which will be repeat stops from the ongoing leg, including Toronto’s Air Canada Center (Oct. 18 and Feb. 3) and the Newark, N.J., Prudential Center (Oct. 11 and Feb. 8). Most of the Fleetwood Mac tour dates for 2015, however, will feature cities unique from this fall’s schedule including Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb. (Jan. 17), marking the first time the group performs at the venue. Other notable destinations include Milwaukee (Feb. 12), Austin, Texas (March 1), and Nashville (March 18), before the final date in Wichita, Kan., on March 31.

Reports have been circulating that Fleetwood Mac has been in the studio working on new music, but all of the most recent concerts have stuck to a tried-and-true collection of greatest hits, including Christine McVie staples like “You Make Loving Fun,” “Say You Love Me,” and “Songbird.”  Check out a sample set list from the current leg of the Fleetwood Mac tour with this On With the Show playlist from Spotify.

While a Fleetwood Mac new album has yet to be announced, the group’s beloved vocalist Stevie Nicks just released a new record, 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault, on Oct. 7. The album features a collection of 14 songs and most are re-recordings of Nicks’ previously unreleased demos, but there’s also one cover version of Vanessa Carlton’s 2011 single “Carousel.”

Additional shows may still be added to the Fleetwood Mac tour 2015 as the venture draws near. Keep up-to-date with the latest news and secure your Fleetwood Mac tickets through the Vivid Seats marketplace.
