Flight of the Conchords Tour
New Zealand comedy duo Flight of the Conchords has announced plans to reunite in 2016 for a North American summer tour. Dubbed the Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour, the trek will take up most of the months of June and July, including a stop at the Newport Folk Festival.
Many of the upcoming shows will take place at notable outdoor amphitheaters across the U.S. and Canada, including Chicago’s Pritzker Pavilion, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre.
A complete Flight of the Conchords tour schedule is featured at the bottom of the page.
Flight of the Conchords Reunion Tour Will Feature New Material
Flight of the Conchords hasn’t released a new album since 2009, but fans will be able to look forward to new material at the upcoming tour. The Flight of the Conchords tour press release indicated that brand new songs will be performed at the upcoming shows. There’s no word on whether or not the new material will eventually be released as a full-length album, so the best bet to hear these songs is attending one of the upcoming tour dates.
It’s likely the upcoming shows will also showcase favorites from the Flight of the Conchords’ existing catalog. Watch the video below to see an early performance of the ever-popular “Business Time.”
In a 2015 interview, Jemaine Clement stated that a Flight of the Conchords movie is also in the works, but no production details are confirmed at the time of the tour announcement.
