The Farewell Tour
One of the most celebrated singers of all-time is prepared to call it quits on the tour front.
Paul Simon, who’s performed across the globe since 1957, announced this week that this concert tour, which he’s called Homeward Bound – The Farewell Tour, will be his last.
Simon made the announcement on Monday with a Facebook post.
"I'm very grateful for a fulfilling career and, of course, most of all to the audiences who heard something in my music that touched their hearts,” Simon said.
The death of guitarist Vincent N’guini and a desire to spend more time with his family drove Simon to make the decision.
The tour will kick off on May 16 with a show in Vancouver. It will span North America and Europe before wrapping up in June with a show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
