Pearl Jam Headlining Sets in Store for New Orleans Jazz Fest, Bonnaroo
Although a majority of the Pearl Jam tour 2016 will consist of solo arena dates, there are a handful of major festival appearances in store for the rock outfit. In the spring, Pearl Jam will be one of the headliners at the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Eddie Vedder and co. will headline the festival on April 23, along with fellow greats Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs, and Maxwell. Over the course of the two weekends, additional headliners will include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Beck, and Neil Young.
In June, Pearl Jam will also headline Bonnaroo Music Festival’s 15th anniversary fest. The four-day festival will take place from June 9-12 this summer.
The upcoming Pearl Jam 2016 tour will be the latest in a series of live ventures supporting the band’s 2013 album “Lightning Bolt.” As of Jan. 19, there’s no word on whether or not Pearl Jam will release a new album in conjunction with the latest round of live shows.
