San Antonio Rodeo 2015
In Feb. 2015, the AT&T Center in San Antonio will once again transform into one of the most vibrant live event venues in North America with the kickoff of the city’s annual rodeo events. As in previous years, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo will be spread across two weeks (Feb. 12-March 1), and in addition to the big sporting events, every night will end with a concert from another diverse lineup of performers.
Although a few surprise headliners won’t be revealed until closer to the date, most of the San Antonio Rodeo lineup 2015 was announced on Nov. 6. Even with a few empty slots, the roster of artists is already impressive, starting with Keith Urban, who will perform twice on the first Saturday of the rodeo, Feb. 14. Last night, Urban won the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year for “We Were Us,” his duet with Miranda Lambert. The No. 1 single came off Urban’s latest album, 2013’s Fuse.
Two other performers that featured prominently in this year’s CMA Awards are also set to represent country music on the San Antonio Rodeo lineup 2015, including longtime host Brad Paisley, who will perform on Feb. 19. Little Big Town, winners of Vocal Group of the Year, will headline AT&T Center on Feb. 21.
Several other country music stars will appear on the lineup, including seven-time CMA Award winner Reba McEntire (Feb. 23) and younger country stars like Hunter Hayes (Feb. 13) and Justin Moore (Feb. 24).
The San Antonio Rodeo lineup 2015 has also booked a handful of artists outside the country genre to take the stage after the PRCA rodeo events this winter. Currently, the first of these will be Pentatonix on Feb. 15. The vocal quintet hails from Arlington, Texas, and has been growing in popularity since winning NBC’s The Sing-Off in 2011.
The following night, on Feb. 16, R&B star John Legend will arrive at AT&T Center to perform selections from his celebrated catalog, including one of this year’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, “All of Me.” Classic rock outfit Styx will also make an appearance on Feb. 27, and the massive Mexican collective Banda Los Recoditos will headline Latin Night on Feb. 22.
