Latest Sia Tour Will Support New 2016 Album “This Is Acting”
Sia’s latest studio effort, 2016’s “This Is Acting,” was released on Jan. 29, and it’s already been a hit with the singles “Alive” and “Cheap Thrills.” The album was also the first follow-up to 2014’s hugely successful “1000 Forms of Fear,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Based on the success of these two albums, Sia--who had previously struggled to find fame as a performer--has decided to launch her first tour in five years.
About a month ahead of the 2016 Sia tour announcement, the singer performed at Coachella in California. Her performance was one of the most talked-about sets of the entire festival.
At the time of her tour announcement, Sia hasn’t confirmed whether or not her cast of dancers will be joining her on the road, but it’s highly likely they will be part of the arena shows.
