Spring Awakening 2015
On Feb. 4, Chicago’s Spring Awakening festival revealed a lineup of more than 60 artists scheduled to appear at its 2015 event. The EDM-focused festival will be one of many Soldier Field concerts slated for this summer at the lakeside stadium, and many of the top global acts in electronic music will be appearing on stage in the Windy City from June 12-14.
Zedd, Hardwell, and Tiesto Top Spring Awakening Lineup 2015
The day-to-day headliners for Spring Awakening 2015 were revealed at the same time as the lineup announcement. On Friday, June 12, things will kick off with sets from Zedd and Eric Prydz, while the excitement will continue on Saturday with headliners Diplo and Hardwell, who’s enjoying a successful second consecutive year as DJ Magazine’s No. 1 artist in the world. On the final night, Afrojack and veteran Tiësto will bring the weekend to a close.

Announcement of Surprise Spring Awakening Headliner Draws Fan Speculation
One of the headliners was left a mystery to be revealed at a later date, but Spring Awakening did hint that the surprise act has never played in Chicago before. This has been leading fans to speculate that the surprise guest may really be a duo, like Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize’s side project) or Jack U (Skrillex and Diplo’s collaborative project).
It remains to be seen if Diplo will pull double duty on the Spring Awakening lineup, but Jack U’s inclusion would make a lot of sense, considering the act’s first single, “Take U There,” dropped this past September.
