Stagecoach 2017
The prime Saturday slot will once again be occupied by a top female country singer, as Shania Twain has been tapped as one of three headliners for the 2017 Stagecoach Country Music Festival.
Joining her at the top of the bill are Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney, who will bookend the weekend scheduled for April 28-30 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.
Shania Twain to Return to Stage Following "Farewell Tour"
Of the three Stagecoach headliners, Twain is the only one who isn’t a regular presence on the tour circuit. The singer’s most recent outing, the Rock This Country Tour, wrapped in 2015, and she’s since gone back and forth regarding a permanent retirement from the road.
Regardless, fans in attendance for Twain’s Stagecoach appearance are likely to hear some new music, as she confirmed in October that “there will be a new musical chapter.” Also set to perform Saturday are Brett Eldredge, Kip Moore, Willie Nelson and Family, Maren Morris, Dan + Shay, Jamey Johnson, Margo Price, and many more.
Dierks Bentley and Cole Swindell Lead Opening Night Lineup
Friday’s headliner, Dierks Bentley, will be busy touring with Cole Swindell throughout the early months of 2017 and his Stagecoach show is likely just one of many festival stints booked for the year. His tour mate also will be joining him on the opening day bill along with the likes of Randy Houser, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jon Pardi, Maddie & Tae, and Elle King.
Kenny Chesney Tabbed for Finale
The ever-popular Kenny Chesney will close things out this year and he’ll have a strong supporting lineup, as Sunday acts include Thomas Rhett, Tyler Farr, Travis Tritt, Cyndi Lauper, Los Lobos, The Cadillac Three, actor Kiefer Sutherland, and Wynonna and the Big Noise among the most notable.
