Festival Announcement

Summerfest, the “world’s largest music festival,” is on tap to return in June and July of 2016 with one of its strongest lineups in recent years. The main stage headliners at Marcus Amphitheater will include country’s biggest names, among them Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, as well as contemporary rock heroes Alabama Shakes and Weezer. Veteran acts like Sting and Peter Gabriel and Def Leppard round out the main stage lineup.

Willie Nelson, Martin Garrix, Passion Pit, and Death Cab for Cutie Add to Summerfest 2016 Lineup

Outside the gates of Marcus Amphitheater, dozens of artists from every genre will be performing on several stages around the Milwaukee festival’s spacious grounds. As is always the case, the caliber of artists performing on the side stages around Summerfest 2016 will be impressive. There’s a strong showing of veteran acts scheduled to appear, including alt-rockers Death Cab for Cutie, Rise Against, Passion Pit, Garbage, Ryan Adams, and The Decemberists. The new supergroup Hollywood Vampires, which stars Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Johnny Depp, will also perform a set at Summerfest.

A range of hip-hop and EDM acts will also fill the Summerfest stages this year, including Martin Garrix, Jason Derulo, The Roots, Nelly, and Mike D of the Beastie Boys. You can see more of this year’s headliners in the video below.
