Travis Kelce's Touchdown Celebrations Are a Dance Show for a Good Cause

October 03, 2017 by Stephen

Kelce Touchdown Dances

You can’t buy tickets just to see him dance, but Travis Kelce’s moves are almost reason enough to head to Arrowhead Stadium for a Kansas City Chiefs game.

The 6-foot-5 tight end has emerged as one of the NFL’s most dominant offensive weapons.

He’s also developed a reputation for entertaining the Arrowhead crowd with smooth celebratory touchdown celebrations:

This season, however, Kelce’s touchdowns and dance moves count for more than just points on the scoreboard. They benefit Operation Breakthrough, an organization that provides healthcare and education services to at-risk youth and families in Kansas City.

Operation Breakthrough uses a platform called PledgeIt, a fundraising tool which allows fans to pledge a donation for every touchdown, goal or home run that an athlete or team achieves.

Kelce’s charity, Eighty-Seven and Running, is currently working with Operation Breakthrough to raise money from each of Kelce’s touchdowns.

As such, it’s clear that the children served by who Operation Breakthrough have something to root for when watching a Chiefs game.

On Monday, one of those children recorded a special message for Kelce in advance of the team’s Monday Night Football game against Washington, encouraging him to “show off the nice moves you got and be confident”:

The result? Seven catches for 111 yards and a touchdown for Kelce. Not to mention a Chiefs win.

And a win for Operation Breakthrough.
