Avicii to Return to the Stage for Ultra Music Festival 2015
After taking months off from live performances for health reasons, Avicii will be back on the Ultra Music Festival 2015 stage for the first time since 2013. The Swedish DJ is also gearing up to release his sophomore album sometime in 2015. Although he hasn’t announced a release date, the artist has dropped two singles from the forthcoming record: “The Days” and “The Nights.”
Additional returns to the festival will bring the duo Axwell ^ Ingrosso to Miami, while the two DJs’ former Swedish House Mafia Collaborator, Steve Angello, will perform separately. Tiesto will also be back to co-headline the festival for the seventh year in a row. Additional big names tapped for DJ sets during Ultra Music Festival 2015 include Eric Prydz, veteran Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, and Afrojack.
Bassnectar Tops Roster of Live Headliners
One of the most exciting parts of the Ultra Music Festival lineup 2015 is the section of live headliners, which includes adored festival frequenter Bassnectar. The bass music icon dropped his latest album, Noise vs. Beauty, in 2014, and it reached a career-best No. 21 on the Billboard 200.
Also on the live roster will be Die Antwoord, the high-energy South African outfit known for its outrageous live shows. Four other duos—Krewella, Gorgon City, Royksopp, and Odesza—will also be joining the pool of live performers, as will Porter Robinson, Kiesza, and a handful of additional acts.
Look through the image below for additional names scheduled to perform on Ultra Music Festival 2015’s three stages this spring, and remember to keep an eye out for round two of the lineup announcement coming soon.
