In a February interview with Billboard, Scott told the magazine that her forthcoming album is “closer than it’s ever been,” although she didn’t say how close it was to an official release date. Her most recent album was 2011’s “The Light of the Sun,” which also marked her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
