The Who Tour Adds Two North American Legs for 2015
In both the fall and spring of 2015, The Who founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will return to North American fans with a special 50th anniversary trek. The Who Hits 50! Tour will begin making the rounds of the band’s native U.K. in late November, but it will be another few months before the first North American leg touches down for its first date in Tampa, Fla., on April 15. In total, the spring 2015 leg of The Who tour will cover 19 U.S. cities through the end of May, with stops in Houston (April 29), St. Louis (May 7), Philadelphia (May 17), and more. A few months later, The Who will return with its fall leg beginning on Sept. 14 in San Diego. This second leg will include all the group’s Canadian shows, including most major cities like Vancouver (Sept. 29), Winnipeg (Oct. 8), and Toronto (Oct. 19 and 20). The last scheduled show will mark a return to Philadelphia on Nov. 4.
Details are still pending on any new full-length records to come out of The Who tour, but the group will release a new song, “Be Lucky,” with its 50th anniversary greatest hits album in November.
