The play Romeo and Juliet is set in the settlement of Verona, Italy, where for many years there has been a feud-taking place between the descendants of the Montegues and those of the Capulets
Romeo and his friend Benvolio perchance come across a man servant of the Capulet family on the street. The servant is trying to interpret a list of names for persons invited to a masked gathering held at the Capulet house. For their help they are awarded an invitation to the party. Arriving at the party in costume Romeo falls deeply in love with Juliet from the moment he sees her. It isn’t long before he is recognized by Tybalt who now wants to kill him. Capulet intercede and informs Tybalt that there will be no disturbance of the party. As Romeo prepares to leave he manages to inform Juliet that he is in loves with her. The two eventually find out who the other is and they are very distressed about it. They are in love with each other but they are also bitter enemies.
Romeo ascend the garden wall where Juliet balcony is and speaks her. He tells her how much he loves her and she relates the same to him. Juliet then is then called inside but an agreement is reached where they met and make appropriate plans for marriage. As scheduled they met and are married by the Friar Laurence. It is not long after that problems develop for Romeo where he is involved in a murder of his friend by Tybalt at which time Prince Escalus arrives on the murder scene and he chooses to exile forever Romeo from Verona.
During the evening Capulet has decided that his daughter Juliet should be married to a young man known as Paris. When he go to inform Juliet of his decision she flatly refuses to obey which infuriates Capulet. Juliet next approaches Friar Laurence with her problem and he provides her with a potion that will make her appear dead for 3 days. She drinks the potion and the next morning she is found dead. The Friar forces them to hurry to place Juliet into the family vault.
Romeo who is unaware that Juliet is not really dead rushes to her vault to pay his respects. While there he meets Paris who challenges him to a duel and is killed. Romeo seeing Juliet dead drinks some poison he has acquire and he too dies.
The Friar arrives just at the time Juliet awakens within the vault. When she notices that Romeo is dead she takes his blade and proceeds to kill herself.
