Shelton and Bryan Tapped to Host 48th ACM Awards
In what’s become known as one of country music's best parties of the year, reigning Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton has been named to host his third consecutive show, but this time he will be working in tandem with another country star, Luke Bryan, who will replace Reba McEntire. The 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards is set to take place on Sunday, April 7th at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the show will mark Bryan’s first time hosting a live event. Certainly, there’s no finer place to get up to speed than the awards show that showcases country music’s legendary and nascent talent. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday January 25, 2013 at 12PM.
As usual, the show isn’t the only part of the festivities, as there will be a two-night outdoor music festival taking place at Orleans Arena on April 5th and 6th that will feature The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley as headliners.
