Beyonce Knowles is famous al over the globe by her outstanding voice and fantastic performances. Her second studio album B'Day in its first week sold more than 541,000 copies in the United States. Immediately, it became number one, making it her highest 1st-week sales as a solo performer. It is also the highest 1st-week sales of any solo female performer in 2006, a record, which was held by Christina Aguilera whose record Back to Basics sold over 346,000 copies in its 1st week.
In December, when the nominations for the 2007 Grammy Awards were announced, Beyonce received 5, of which the singer won “Best Contemporary R&B Album”.

Beyonce re-released B'Day as a deluxe edition in April 2007. The record featured new tracks, including the hit “Beautiful Liar” (duet with Latin star Shakira), which made Billboard history, when it jumped from no. 94 to no. 3 on the Hot Hundred in one week on April 7, 2007.
Full-length videos for “Green Light”, “Get Me Bodied”, and “Suga Mama” premiered on BET were released in order to promote B’Day Anthology Video Album. A 57-second preview of “Kitty Kat” was also included as a intro in the video for “Green Light”.
In Australia, the deluxe edition of B'Day appeared on April 16, 2007. It doesn’t feature the track “Still in Love (Kissing You)”.
Beyonce has recently started on her lengthy The Beyoncé Experience tour, which has sold out various performances worldwide. The singer is expected to have Katy Shotter (UK and U.S. only), Lemar (Europe only), Robin Thicke (U.S. only), and Chris Brown (Australia only) as her opening acts during her performances. Her tour has started from the spring of 2007 and will continue through end of the summer/fall of 2007.
Beyonce latest movie work is Dreamgirls. It is the film adaptation of the 1981 Broadway musical about a 1960s singing band based on Motown all-female group The Supremes, as the character Deena Jones. This movie was nominated for 8 2007 Academy Awards, of which it won 2. The movie has passed the $100 million dollar gross mark in the US.
