William Martin "Billy" Joel was born on the 9th of May in 1949 in New York. He is famous not only as a popular American singer but also as a wonderful songwriter, pianist and composer.

Billy Joel started his musical career in 1964 but his first album that gained notice wasnt written until 1973 when he was 24 years old. The first single was called Piano Man.
