In very unique fashion, the 2013 Bonnaroo Music Festival lineup was finally revealed to the world via a "Live Lineup Announcement Megathon" hosted by “Weird Al” Yankovic. The live YouTube webcast was surely an interesting medium to deliver the message, but the substance didn’t disappoint one bit. Bonnaroo 2013 is set to take place from June 13th through 16th, and the incredible headliners for this year’s event are Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Mumford and Sons. As always, the festival will take place at Bonnaroo Manchester Farm in Manchester, TN, and those lucky enough to claim tickets will be witness to many of the world’s premiere acts across diverse musical styles such as indie rock, hip hop, country, folk, gospel, reggae, electronica, jazz, and more.
Along with the headliners, the 2013 Bonnaroo lineup includes Bjork, Wilco, David Byrne and St. Vincent, The National, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, R. Kelly, The xx, Passion Pit, Animal Collective, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Grizzly Bear, Cat Power, Beach House, Billy Idol, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers, Action Bronson, Local Natives, ZZ Top, Tame Impala, Dirty Projectors, Baroness, Death Grips, Killer Mike, Pretty Lights, Purity Ring, ASAP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T., Portugal. The Man, Wild Nothing, The Gaslight Anthem, Gov’t Mule, The Vaccines, Porter Robinson, Amadou & Mariam, Walk the Moon, and The Stepkids. Comedians like Daniel Tosh and Ed Helms will perform at the event, and Jim James is set to host a special “Soul Super Jam” with John Oates and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band as well. 2013 Bonnaroo tickets go on sale Saturday, February 23rd at 12 p.m. ET, so make sure to claim yours as soon as possible.
