Clint Patrick Black is a neotraditional country music singer, songwriter, and producer. He has sold several million albums all over the world. The singer's first song, entitled "A Better Man", landed him at no. 1 in the US charts. The same happened with the following 3 singles from his debut album, Killin' Time. In album sales, it raised to no. 1.

Clint Black received the Country Music Association's awards in 1989, winning in 6 different nominations. His second release, Put Yourself In My Shoes, did not receive as much critical acclaim as the previous one. However, it still included several hit songs. The singer started touring with Alabama. The next album named The Hard Way received mixed critical reviews but became very successful as well. His next albums were popular as well across the United States, though his neotraditional music approach became less popular over time. The singer was one of the most popular acts of the ‘90s, however, in the 2000s he has reached only Top 5 with a duet with Steve Wariner.
