English rockers Def Leppard have built their reputation upon entertaining audiences with outrageous live shows in arena-sized venues, but the iconic quintet organized a very special, intimate residency in Sin City during the spring. As part of the 11-show VIVA Hysteria Tour, put on in celebration of the 1987 release of their third album, “Hysteria,” Def Leppard set up shop at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas – The Joint in Las Vegas, Nev., with dates scheduled until April 13. The classic album went on to sell more than 20 million copies worldwide, and though they’ve firmly etched their names in the history of rock music by selling over 100 million albums since, it was this monumental record that morphed the band into true hard rock legends. For each show, fans that witness the VIVA Hysteria tour live are in for a truly unique affair, as The Joint’s stage will be specially designed to showcase Def Leppard’s larger-than-life sounds in an up close and personal setting.
Throughout the Def Leppard tour, the band has been playing “Hysteria” in full, which means that fans who purchase Def Leppard tickets will be able to sing along with classics like “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “Animal,” “Love Bites,” “Armageddon It,” and “Rocket.” Thankfully, those who love hits from albums like “Pyromania,” “Adrenalize,” and “Retro Active” can get excited as well, as the band will be playing hits from their entire discography during what’s sure to be an electric encore. Be sure to check out Def Leppard’s newest single, “Hysteria 2013,” which is a re-recording of their iconic album’s title track in honor of the Las Vegas residency.
