Delbert McClinton Background Information
A well-known American blues and country musician, Delbert McClinton, honed his craft singing with a bar band, The Straitjackets. Delbert McClinton released his first recording as a member of the Ron-Dels. Right away, he was noted for his great harmonica work on Bruce Channel's hit song "Hey Baby". One of the urban legends tells that Delbert McClinton taught John Lennon to play the harmonica. That resulted in the sound heard on the band’s hit "Love Me Do."
