Last November, shock waves of excitement sailed around the music world at news of Eric Clapton’s forthcoming 2013 U.S. Tour and return of the Crossroads Guitar Festival. With the tour’s start date quickly approaching, Clapton piled on to the increasing anticipation with the announcement of a brand-new album that is set to hit stores on March 12. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s 21st studio album, Old Sock, will mark the GRAMMY winner’s first release since 2010, and will feature two new tunes, “Every Little” and “Gotta Get Over,” along with fresh versions of Clapton’s 10 favorite songs. Special guests include Paul McCartney, Chaka Khan, Steve Winwood, and JJ Cale.
On March 14, two days after the album’s release, the legendary guitarist will embark on his 15-city U.S. Tour, beginning in Phoenix and concluding in New York where the fourth edition of the 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival will serve as the grand finale. From April 12-13, Madison Square Garden will house some of the world’s most talented musicians, as Clapton will perform alongside greats such as BB King, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Jonny Lang, Vince Gill, and Robert Randolph, just to name a few. Don’t delay in purchasing Eric Clapton tickets for all upcoming tour dates, and be sure to secure coveted Crossroads Guitar Festival tickets soon as well.
