About Good Charlotte

Good Charlotte started our touring locally and were noticed by band Lit who were enjoying success for their single “My Own Worst Enemy”. Good Charlotte was invited to tour with Lit in 1999 and that gig led to them to opening for Blink-182 on a couple of dates. Good Charlotte received an album deal with Epic Records the same year. 2000 saw the release of their self-titled album but it wasn’t until 2002’s The Young and The Hopeless that the band received mainstream success and fame. Their songs were poppy, their songs were power infused, their songs were perfect for the new genre known as pop-punk taking over the lives of angst-ridden teenagers donning black eyeliner and nail polish. Good Charlotte became a hit. Their third album, The Chronicles of Life and Death, may have taken the angst too far as their less poppy and more substantial lyrics caused a decline in album sales from their target audience. Their latest album, Good Morning Revival faired a little better than their previous album. The band hopped on tour with Justin Timberlake in 2007 and are currently grasping on to the coattails of the music industry.
