Kings of Leon’s influences range from Indie rock and Southern rock, to blues styles. Their 3 critically acclaimed albums have brought them a devoted following, especially in European countries.

The Holy Roller Novocaine EP was the band’s first record, which contained several compositions that were later released on Youth and Young Manhood.

The first album Youth and Young Manhood brought popularity to the band. They were chosen by popular rock bands U2 and The Strokes to join them on their tours. The composition “Red Morning Light” from the record was used as the opening song for the popular video game FIFA 2004. Another song “Holy Roller Novocaine” was used in the film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Stuck on You (2003 film), and the television show The Shield.
