About Metro Station

Comprised of Masson Musso (vocals, guitar), Blake Healy (synthesizer/beats/bass), Anthony Improgo (drums) and, most notably, Miley Cyrus’ half-brother Trace Cyrus (guitar, vocals), Metro Station is an up and coming band from Los Angeles.
In 2007, the mothers of Cyrus and Musso introduced the two soon-to-be rockstars. The play date went gold and Cyrus and Musso formed Metro Station. Their song, “Seventeen Forever” gained MySpace fame and soon they were topping the MySpace Music Unsigned Band’s chart. A Columbia Records intern discovered the band and Metro Station was signed quickly afterwards. That same year they released their self-titled debut. Their two singles “Kelsey” and “Control” did not make the charts even though album sales were slowly rising. 2008 finally brought the band some attention when their single “Shake It” placed in the Top Ten of three U.S. music charts- Hot Digital Songs, Pop 100, and Billboard Hot 100. The album then rose to #43 in the Billboard 200, #1 on the top Electronic Albums chart and #2 in the Top Heatseekers. They are finishing up their Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour 2008 with the bands Boys Like Girls, Good Charlotte and The Maine. They begin their fall tour in October 2008.
