Miranda Lambert burst into the music scene after she was one of the finalists on the Nashville Star 2003 season and is now a very popular American country singer and song writer. She was born in Longview, Texas on the 10th November 1983 and was keen in country music from her early childhood. She took part in a lot of signing talent contents under the guidance of her father, who is also a country music artist.
Miranda Lambert came up with a rocking debut album in 2005 called Kerosene and the first single, “Me and Charlie talking”, that was co-written by her father, was a platinum hit in the United States as it sold more than one million copies. This album was the number one on the Billboard Country Album charts. She released her second album in 2007 called Crazy ex-Girlfriend and has been signed by Epic Records since 2004. Miranda Lambert wrote eight tracks of the album’s eleven tracks that included the second single called “Famous in a Small Town” and it is till date her greatest ever charting single.
She has got a lot of awards and recognitions for her contribution thus far to the music industry. She won the Cover Girl fresh face award in the 40th annual Academy of country music awards in the year 2005 and also nominated for the country music association’s horizon award the same year. Miranda Lambert was very thrilled to receive Best Female Country – Vocal, Grammy nomination for her single Kerosene in 2007. There is no surprise that she has won the Best New Female Award at the 2007 Academy of country Music Awards.
