Randy Rogers Band is well known as an American band that plays country music. The band originates from Texas. The band is named after Randy Rogers the lead vocalist. Other members include Geoffrey Hill who plays the guitar and harmony, Jon Richardson with the bass guitar, Brady Black with the fiddle and Les lawless on drums. Since inception Randy Rogers' Band has released five studio albums with four singles hitting the billboard chat of Hot Country Songs.
Born in Cleburne, Texas, Randy Rogers was six when he learned how to play the piano. He was taught by his great grand mother. He later learned the guitar and wrote his very first song at the tender age of thirteen. He first joined a backing band but later decided on forming his own band. The first recorded album by Randy Rogers Band was ‘Live at Cheatham Street Warehouse'. It was recorded in a bar of identical name in San Marcos, Texas. In 2002, Independent Downtime Record label signed the band and the Rogers' Band released album number two; Like It Used to Be. 2004 saw the release of Rollercoaster which produced two songs for the Billboard charts early in 2005. Radney Foster co-produced the album and co-wrote most of the songs of that successful album.
In 2006, under Mercury Nashville Records the Randy Rogers Band released Just a matter of Time which was their first major-label album. Some famous singles of the Randy Rogers Band includes “tonight's Not the Night (For Goodbye)”, “Down and Out”, “Kiss Me in The dark” and “One More Goodbye”. The band has appeared in a number of tours and concerts.
