About The Raconteurs
The Raconteurs consist of Jack White (from The White Stripes), Brendan Benson, and from The Greenhornes, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler. The band formed in 2005 when friends Jack White and Brendan Benson got together and created a song. The song was The Raconteurs first smash hit “Steady, As She Goes”. The two friends decided that they must create a band to create more songs of the former. They added in Lawrence and Keeler from the garage rock Greenhornes. When the members could take time off from their other bands, they recorded their album
Broken Boy Soldiers in Benson’s home-studio which was released in 2006.
more Due to the success of all the members, most notably Jack White, the new band had no problem selling out concert venues getting a hold of The Raconteurs tickets was next to impossible. The band toured along the festival circuit hitting up the ridiculously large crowds at Bonnaroo, Reading, Leeds, Austin City Limits, Coachella, and Lollapalooza. Their second album,
