2008 Amp Energy 500 Race InformationThe 2008 Amp Energy 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race should be a jolting good time for all race fans. It will be sponsored by the Talladega Speedway for the 2008 season. Restrictor plates will be used for the AMP Energy 500 as is the Aarons 499, the Daytona 500, and the Coke Zero 400 races. These plates serve to stop passing cars on the track. 1996 brought the end of the AMP Energy 500 being held in the early part of August or the last part of July and was moved up to October.
