The NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge, takes place on the 2nd of August at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. This race is both controversial and famous for all the right and wrong reasons. The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a part of Montreal, located as it is in the middle of a man made island on the St Lawrence River. What makes this track a bit too shady is the way that the barriers are placed, for they are placed close to the track itself, and so the turns here is truly hair rising. Can you imagine going at high speeds and trying to find your way through all the steep turns and in addition to the steep turns, you have the barriers literally hanging over your car? The final part of the circuit, a barrier with the slogan ‘welcome to Montreal’ has already caused quite an impression having caused many a famous driver to crash into it.
