2008 Coke Zero 400 InformationThe Coke Zero 400 was once known as the Firecracker 250 when it was first run in the years of 1959 thru 1962. From this time, the name changed to the Firecracker 400. Pepsi was the title sponsor through 2006 but the name was changed again to reflect this. It became the Pepsi 400. Last year, Coke took over as the official drink of all the ISC tracks and thus the name became Coke Zero 400 for this year’s race. Coca-Cola is the driving force behind the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR race. This race consists of 160 laps totaling about 400 miles. July 5th, 2008 is the date for the Coke Zero 400 this year. It can be expected to fall very close to Independence Day weekend.
