The Sharpie 500 is going to be held at the Bristol Motor Speedway on August 17th, 2008. The speedway is located in Bristol, Tennessee. The Speedway is also the home of the Food City 500 but the Sharpie 500 is more popular because of the name of the sponsor. Beginning in 1978, the race is held in the later part of August on a Saturday evening and is the most difficult to find tickets for. The wait for tickets to this race can be very long but very worth the time spent waiting. It can also be viewed on ESPN but there is nothing like the thrill of being there in person.
