Suns Looking Strong in 2006In 2007 season, the Phoenix Suns will try to come back to the Western Conference Finals, from where they were eliminated in six games by Dallas in the previous season. The Suns signed a two-year contract with Eric Piatkowski. When during the 2006 playoffs Tim Thomas became a cult hero of the Suns because of his stunning performance, he decided to sign a deal with Phoenix rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers. Later, the team signed Markus Banks from the Minnesota Timberwolves to a five-year deal worth about $21 million. The Suns also hired Sean Marks, Leandro Barbosa (a five-year contract extension worth approx. $33 million beginning from the 2007-2008 season) , and Jumaine Jones.
