Trail Blazers Basketball Overview for 2009

As the Blazers move from last year’s successes into the hope that this year brings, it’s exciting to see this young team bring themselves up to the level of a real NBA contender. Coming off their best year in nearly a decade, the Blazers will hope to be able to win their way back into the playoffs once again. Last year, if you had Trail Blazers tickets, you saw this team come close to getting into the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the playoffs. Brandon Roy is a shooting guard with the team and has the stuff that could make him an MVP in the years to come. He even added 27 points on average in his first NBA playoffs. His support is LaMarcus Aldridge, a large center who is able to make some big moves each game and holds down the middle of the court with no trouble. This combination, as well as the play of Greg Oden, might well get the team to a championship in the near future.
