The Missouri Tigers have found themselves with very large shoes to fill in 2009, as they are returning sixteen starters from their previous season which returned a Big 12 Conference championship for the North Division and a record for the school of 12 wins. It placed fourth in the Associated Press top 25 and brought home a win for the New Years Day Bowl game, the first that they've seen since 1966. Gary Pinkel, head coach, will be beginning the 2009 season with a Heisman Trophy finalist, Chase Daniel and an All-American, Jeremy Maclin.
If you don't think that they can feel the heat of MU’s breath on their necks, you must be out of your mind. What are they looking for? Greatness, that's all. With changes in the roster and in team positions, Pinkel is looking to make the right decisions now to avoid having to make up for an oversight later. We can hope that the Tigers are ready to overcome their past hardships and lead us into glory.
