2009 Texas A&M Aggies Season Information

The Aggies arecurrently being coached by the interim coach Gary Darnell after Dennis Franchione resigned in November of 2007. The 2006 team found itself with a loss at the Holiday Bowl, but finishing with an overall 9 wins and 4 losses for the season. They were ranked by ESPN as fifteenth in their polls. The 2007 season left them with a 7-6 record, however, ending their season with a loss at the Alamo Bowl to Penn State. There was a campaign calling for his dismissal, including Can Fran tee shirts and an official Fire Fran website with a petition to relieve him of his coaching duties.

Though there are other matters to deal with in regards to Franchione, we have high hopes for the future and look to turn the tides for our beloved Aggies. We can bring it back and in the coming 2008 and 2009 NCAA football season. Gary Darnell may find that his hands are quite full, but they are full of capable players ready to perform and bring home the victories that they so richly deserve.
