The Oregon State Beavers basketball team represents Oregon State University (OSU). The University is situated in Corvallis, Oregon. The present head coach of the team is Jay John, who agreed to assist the University in reviving one of the nations most historical teams. Already in his 3rd year of tenure, he revitalized the winning program of Oregon State University, which had been stagnant for more than a decade before his arrival.
In 2002-2003 season, Jays first year in Corvallis, the squad gained its most conference wins in 8 seasons, defeated the USC Trojans and the UCLA team in the same season for the first time in the past 15 years. It achieved the most road wins in one season in a decade and registered its
highest finish in the conference ranks in 10 years.
