St John's Red Storm is the name of the basketball team of St. Johns University, which has quite a long tradition in intercollegiate athletics. The mens basketball program of St. Johns became the first intercollegiate program and appeared in 1907. At the very beginning, the so-called Wonder Five made the team well-known.
