Defending SEC Champs Hungry for More

For the first time in over 60 years, the Vanderbilt Commodores were crowned SEC champions. In a thrilling victory over eventual-national champion, Kentucky, Vanderbilt claimed its first conference title since 1951, and secured a place in the NCAA Tournament, earning a No. 5 seed. The young, but experienced squad will look to repeat the success of the previous season and you can be there every step of the way with 2012-13 Vanderbilt basketball tickets from Vivid Seats.

For just the second time in program history, three Vanderbilt players were chosen in the same draft, including John Jenkins, Festus Ezeli, and Jeffery Taylor. It also marked the first time the program produced two first-round picks in Jenkins and Ezeli. While their loss certainly leaves big shoes to fill, eight Commodores return from last year’s squad that finished 25-11 on the year. Incoming freshmen A.J. Astroth, Kevin Bright, Sheldon Jeter all will look to make an immediate impact as well.
