Ball State Looks to Build on Success with Second-Year Head Coach

Equipped with a brand new coaching staff last season, Ball State surprised critics and surpassed expectations. The program will look to build on that success in 2012 and will face another tough slate of opponents, including home contests against non-conference foes Eastern Michigan to open the season on Aug. 30 and South Florida on Sept. 22. Scheumann Stadium also will play host to three MAC matchups when the Cardinals take on Northern Illinois (10/6), Western Michigan (10/13), and Ohio (11/14). Browse the Vivid Seats stock of Ball State football tickets and gain access to your favorite sporting events all season long.

In his debut season with Ball State, Pete Lembo led the squad to a number of notable wins. The Cardinals finished 6-6, collecting victories over Indiana, Buffalo, Army, Ohio, Central Michigan, and Eastern Michigan. With 15 of 22 scholarship freshmen returning after redshirting, Ball State will add a wealth of depth to an already talented roster.
