2009 Colorado Buffaloes Season InformationThe University of Colorado at Boulder has been the host of the Buffaloes football team since 1896, and is an original member of the Big 12 Conference. The teams only National Championship was in 1990 under coach Bill McCartney, who they bid well when he retired in 1994. Currently being molded by the hungry and passionate head coach Dan Hawkins, brought on in 2005, they find themselves pulling away from controversy and into a more laborious training schedule. The results of this schedule are open for interpretation as the team itself does not seem to be adhering to any performance trends, but George Hypolite has found his way to the Rotary Lombardi Award watchlist for the upcoming season.
