2009 East Carolina Pirates Season Information

After finishing 7-5 for the 2006 NCAA football season, the head coach Skip Holtz came through for the Pirates again in the 2007 season. Here they had their first winning season since 2001, with an 8-5 record, and bringing home the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl win. The Pirates offensive lineman Terrence Campbell is lucky to be on the field for the 2008 football season considering the heart attack that he was a victim of nearly a year ago before he even reached his twenty first birthday. He was not going to be able to play until he was allowed to come off of his Plavix regimen, as his safety was at risk if he were to play while using a blood thinner.
